Who we are

Brydge Academy (“we,” “us”) is a training division of Brydge Group, based in British Columbia, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Information we collect

We collect personal information you provide directly - such as your name, business name, email address, and any details you share when you make an enquiry, register for a program, or correspond with us. For program participants, we may also collect attendance and assessment records to issue certificates of completion.

When you use our website, our hosting provider may automatically collect limited technical information (such as your browser type and pages visited) to keep the site secure and working.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, schedule and deliver training, issue certificates, administer payment, meet legal and reporting obligations, and improve our programs. Where a program is supported by a government training grant, we may use enrolment and completion details to help an employer with their application or reporting, with your knowledge.

Consent

We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where PIPA permits or requires otherwise. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us - though doing so may mean we cannot provide certain services.

Disclosure & service providers

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to operate - for example with service providers who host our website, process payments, or help deliver training - and only to the extent required for those purposes. We require service providers to protect personal information consistent with this policy.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then securely destroy or anonymise it.

Safeguards

We protect personal information with reasonable physical, organisational, and technological safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask how it has been used or disclosed. We will respond as required by PIPA.

Contact & privacy officer

This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice. We may update it from time to time; the “last updated” date reflects the current version.
