Credentials & disclosures
Plain answers about what our certificates mean, how we’re regulated, and what we do and don’t claim.
Certificates of completion
Brydge Academy issues a certificate of completion to each participant who finishes a program and its hands-on assessment. These certificates recognise practical, job-ready skills. They are not academic degrees or diplomas, and they are not issued under the authority of a public post-secondary institution.
We do not grant degrees
Brydge Academy does not grant or confer degrees, and does not describe its programs as degrees. Under British Columbia’s Degree Authorization Act, only authorised institutions may grant degrees or use the word “university,” and we make no such claim.
Regulatory status (PTIRU)
In British Columbia, a private training provider must be certified by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) if it offers a career-related program with 40 or more instructional hours and tuition of $4,000 or more. Every Brydge Academy program is intentionally shorter and lower-cost than both thresholds, so our programs fall outside mandatory PTIRU certification. We design our programs to meet the same standards of quality - clear learning objectives, qualified instructors, published outlines, and a hands-on assessment.
Honest outcomes
We describe what our programs teach and what participants will be able to do - not guaranteed business results, income, or employment. Outcomes depend on each participant and how the skills are applied. Where a program references being “ready for an exam,” it means the training is designed to prepare participants for that exam, not that any certification is guaranteed.
British Columbia-based provider
Brydge Academy delivers training as its main business activity from British Columbia, serving teams across the province. It is a training division of Brydge Group.
